2009-2010 Support Employee of the Year
Christinia Brock is Parenting & Family Literacy’s 2009-2010 Support Employee of the Year. Christinia has worked for the Parenting & Family Literacy Program since July 2004. She is dedicated to the families she serves. Her compassion and dedication helps her families and our program to achieve their goals. Christinia is a team player, and we are proud she is a part of our team.
Cultural Day
As our community becomes more diverse, it is important to learn about and celebrate our differences. Our ESOL and GED students researched information about various cultures, including educational systems, languages spoken, and holidays/celebrations. The research culminated with presentations and a luncheon with food from various cultures. We are so very proud of all of our students for their participation in presenting their information.
Administrative Staff Hall of Fame Award
Dianne Correia, program secretary, was recognized at the South Carolina Adult Education's 8th annual "Celebrating Our Success" luncheon. Dianne was awarded the Administrative Staff Hall of Fame award for 10+ years of service to Family Literacy/Adult Education. Dianne serves as program secretary as well as orientation and registration coordinator for the students who attend our adult education classrooms. Thank you, Dianne, for all you do to assist our families in "building a bridge to the future."
